Gym Guard Insurance is a specialty brand of Wexford Insurance, LLC — an independent agency that writes one class, gyms and fitness studios, across the 48 states we are licensed in.
Most agencies treat a gym like any other retail storefront — a generic policy, a generic quote, and no one who has thought about the fact that your business is a room full of people moving under load, on your floor, on your equipment, often when no coach is watching. We built Gym Guard Insurance on the opposite idea: pick one class, learn it deeply, and place it with carriers that actually want the work. A member who tears something on a rack, a participant hurt in a packed class, and the after-hours access you sell as 24/7 are exposures a specialist underwrites on purpose — not surprises an owner discovers during a claim.
That focus is the whole value. We know to ask whether you run a barbell and strength floor, high-tempo group classes, or a mind-body studio; whether your instruction crosses from supervising a room into prescribing what a member should do; how your unstaffed hours are actually controlled; and what a landlord, a franchisor, or a bank demands in additional-insured and limit terms — before we quote, not after a certificate request lands on your desk. We place coverage through a 26-market specialty panel and read each account to the real operation. We insure the facility and the business behind it; we do not coach members, prescribe training, or give medical or nutrition advice — that is your floor, and your expertise.
Gym Guard Insurance is led by its founders, Nate Jones and Kami Jones.
Founder
Nate Jones considers himself to be the “insurance nerd” of our company. He is a graduate of Indiana State University where he majored in Insurance & Risk Management. Before starting Wexford Insurance, Nate Jones worked on numerous sides of the insurance industry as an Underwriting Manager and Risk Management Consultant. He holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, and he reviews every Gym Guard Insurance submission personally.
Co-Founder
Kami Jones is by far the most detailed and creative person at our company. Before starting Wexford Insurance, Kami Jones worked as a Client Service Manager in the industry.
